AI Labs Deploy Massive Mac Mini & Mac Studio Clusters for Agent RL
Major AI research labs are deploying large-scale clusters of Apple Silicon hardware, specifically Mac mini and Mac Studio systems, for computer-use agent reinforcement learning. Agent RL requires thousands of parallel, sandboxed desktop UI environments with low thermal output, silent operation, and high power efficiency. Configurable with up to 512GB of unified memory, Mac Studio systems provide an ideal testbed for local agent environment simulation.
