Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector announced Gemini Launchpads on October 19, 2026, a joint program to help US federal agencies deploy and scale AI agents, timed ahead of the Google Public Sector Summit 2026 in Washington, DC.
Under the program, Accenture will embed forward deployed engineers (FDEs) inside agencies to deliver outcome-based agents built on Gemini and integrate them into government systems and workflows. Accenture says it will field about 1,000 Google Cloud-skilled FDEs within its recently launched Gemini Enterprise Business Group, working alongside Accenture Federal experts; the initial cohort is already in training.
Gemini Launchpads are designed to let agencies centrally manage Gemini agents and their dataset connections, prioritize agent use cases for fast deployment, and track performance and returns over time. The program includes a set of pre-built agents for human resources, finance and supply chain work, plus training for the federal workforce.
Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector, said the partnership aims to move governments 'beyond incremental modernization' and let agencies use Gemini 'to navigate complex systems, accelerate critical decisions, and deliver at the speed of mission.' Accenture CEO Ron Ash said the FDEs will help 'scale value' and deploy 'purpose-built agents to transform work at the heart of government operations.' The announcement extends a deepening alliance: Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian named Accenture its global partner of the year at Accenture's investor day last week, describing joint work on agentic systems across marketing, cybersecurity, AI and data, contact centers and sovereign programs.
