Apple introduced a set of Creator Studio updates on September 29. Its announcement describes new tools across Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform. This is a confirmed Apple announcement, not the broader hardware, security and performance claims included in the incoming mixed brief.
Pixelmator Pro for iPad gains Select and Mask controls for refining selections around complex edges such as hair and fur. Mac and iPad versions add two template collections and a Podcasts category with cover artwork sized for major platforms. In Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac, Apple says editors can add Cinematic mode effects to video captured natively on iPhone 18 Pro; Final Cut Pro supports adjusting focus points and depth of field in the timeline. Compressor adds conversion to the previous Cinematic format and HEVC and MPEG-4 sharing presets.
Creator Studio subscribers get new Keynote, Pages and Numbers templates and themes. Apple also describes presentation-tailored images in Keynote intelligent slide generation, access requests for shared files, Screen View in Pages for Mac, and new trigonometry, statistics and logic functions in Numbers. These features have app and subscription distinctions; the announcement does not say every tool is free on every device.
Freeform gains Dark Mode boards, folders, collaboration access requests and Shortcuts support for adding content. Apple says Writing Tools can rewrite, proofread and summarize handwritten notes. In visionOS 27, users can pull several board items into their space and view 3D models together.
