Apple introduced Apple HomeView on October 13, a 7-inch smart-home display powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI, priced at $299 (U.S.) for both the tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Pre-orders are open in launch countries, with availability beginning November 13. This is a product announcement, not an independent review.
HomeView has a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and comes as a tabletop model in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray, and as a wall-mounted model in space gray and silver. Apple says it recognizes users by their faces and adapts so each person can reach their own Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders and Find My content. Face-recognition and personalization claims are Apple's own and were not independently tested.
Apple describes Siri AI on HomeView as an entirely new, more conversational version of Siri with broad world knowledge and onscreen awareness. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled device, Apple says it can draw on personal context such as Calendar and Messages to personalize responses. The usefulness and accuracy of those assistant features will depend on region, language and each household's setup.
For home management, Apple says users can view camera feeds, adjust thermostats and lights, lock doors and close blinds by touch or voice. HomeView works with the Apple Home Collection accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, and with other Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories. Apple Home Collection starts in December, with select accessories following in early 2027, so much of the announced ecosystem is not yet available.
Customers in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S. can pre-order now, and Singapore pre-orders opened October 15 at 9 a.m. SGT; both models reach those countries November 13, with South Africa pre-orders through Apple Authorized Resellers to follow. Apple says HomeView will not be sold in the European Union at launch because Siri AI is currently unavailable there. Regional availability and language support limit who can use the headline features.
Buyers should note that camera history, some monitoring features and compatible accessories carry their own device and subscription requirements, and Apple's privacy and security framing describes its design goals rather than independent audits. Availability dates are Apple's, and launch-day supply is not guaranteed in every market.
