Apple introduced HomeView on October 13, 2026, opening pre-orders for a shared home display with a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen. The tabletop version and separate wall-mounted model each cost $299 in the United States. Apple schedules availability for November 13; an open pre-order is not immediate delivery.
The tabletop model combines a display, tilting hinge and speaker base. Apple offers it in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray, while the wall-mounted model comes in silver and space gray. The latter uses separately sold Schneider Home mounting accessories, so its device price is not the complete cost of every installation.
HomeView can recognize up to six enrolled users and show personal apps and widgets, according to Apple. Setup and multiuser support require a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software. The announcement also describes FaceTime, music, messaging and control of compatible smart-home accessories.
Siri AI is available in beta in HomeView software version 27.2. Personal-context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad with the latest software, Siri AI enabled and a supported language. Apple also says certain server-side features have daily usage limits, with expanded access planned for a future fee.
Initial pre-orders cover Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S. Singapore pre-orders begin October 15. Apple says HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS there. The release lists English support in the initial Siri AI markets and Canadian French support later.
Limits: camera-recording summaries and natural-language search require compatible setup and an eligible iCloud+ subscription. Other content or services can need separate subscriptions. These are Apple's announced features and availability terms, not an independent test of face recognition, security or everyday reliability.
