Key points

  • Apple released the third developer betas of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 on October 5, 2026. The update brings the redesigned Health app and five new Siri AI languages.

Apple seeded the third developer betas of iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 on Monday, October 5, 2026. MacRumors says it came two weeks after the second beta. AppleInsider dates the second round September 21 and the first September 16.

Apple also seeded third betas of macOS 27.2 Golden Gate, tvOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2, AppleInsider reports.

Build numbers, per AppleInsider:

- iOS 27.2 beta 3 and iPadOS 27.2 beta 3: 24B5099f, replacing 24B5089g

- macOS 27.2 beta 3: 26B5101f, replacing 26B5091g

- tvOS 27.2 beta 3: 24K5103f, replacing 24K5093g

- watchOS 27.2 beta 3: 24S5101f, replacing 24S5091f

- visionOS 27.2 beta 3: 24N5103f, replacing 24N5093f

What 27.2 contains, per 9to5Mac's list for the iPhone beta:

- The redesigned Health app is live in the beta.

- Dual capture mode comes to Group FaceTime.

- Siri AI adds French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

- Apple TV app profiles come to iPhone.

- In Apple Podcasts, "Up Next" becomes "New Episodes" and episode lists get color-matched backgrounds.

Why there is no 27.1 beta for most iPhones: 9to5Mac and AppleInsider both say iOS 27.1 is the iPhone Duo release, so 27.2 is the next update for other models. MacRumors reports the iPhone Duo launches October 23 and that Apple said the new Siri languages would arrive in October. MacRumors says that makes a 27.2 release shortly after October 23 likely. That timing is MacRumors' inference, not an Apple announcement.

Registered developers can install the beta from Settings > General > Software Update by opting in to the iOS 27 developer beta.
