Apple's French environmental-information site lists a Smart Folio for iPad mini with model number A3632. MacRumors reported the listing on October 15; the accessory reference is visible on Apple's own site.
The official sheet identifies the product and model number and reports environmental characteristics. It says the product contains at least 3% recycled material and at least 6,610 milligrams of rare earth elements. These figures describe the accessory, not the specifications of an iPad.
The sheet displays the date 08/09/2026. The new reporting should therefore be distinguished from a claim that Apple first created the underlying environmental document on October 15.
MacRumors says A3632 does not match current or past iPad mini cases and suggests a new case could point to changes in the tablet it is intended to fit. That is reported interpretation, not an Apple confirmation of a redesigned iPad mini.
The listing does not disclose a display type, screen size, processor, water-resistance rating, price or release date for a new tablet. It does not by itself establish OLED hardware, case compatibility or a specific October launch event.
For buyers, this is an accessory-listing signal rather than a product announcement. Wait for model-specific compatibility and availability information before buying a case for an unannounced iPad or treating reported hardware changes as final.
