New U.S. iPhone Duo orders were showing estimated shipping dates of January 25, 2027, on the morning pre-orders opened, according to October 16 reports from MacRumors and Gizmodo. The estimates are a snapshot of what those publications observed, not a universal delivery promise.
Apple scheduled pre-orders to begin October 16 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time. Its U.S. purchase page now offers the phone for pre-order and lists availability starting October 23. A product launch date is different from the delivery estimate attached to a new order.
MacRumors reported late-December estimates at about 5:20 a.m. Pacific, followed by January 25 estimates in its 6:11 a.m. report. Gizmodo separately reported January 25 in the Apple Store app. The sources do not support a single precise sellout time for every configuration and sales channel.
Both publications reported that the U.S. online pickup option directed customers to check back October 24. That message does not confirm launch-day walk-in stock, guarantee a reservation, or establish a daily inventory-refresh time.
Shipping delays alone do not establish total sales, manufacturing yields or the balance between demand and supply. Reports of production constraints remain separate claims and are not confirmed by the displayed dates.
Buyers should check the estimate for their exact configuration, location and seller before ordering. A carrier offer or a different pickup option is not proof of an earlier delivery, and these launch-morning observations should not be treated as current inventory indefinitely.
