Samsung says its Gallery photo and video synchronization with Microsoft OneDrive is ending on September 30, 2026. Its U.S. support notice identifies the date but does not give an hour or confirm that every device has already stopped syncing.

Photos and videos stored in OneDrive through Gallery synchronization will remain in OneDrive, Samsung says. Users can view those files through the OneDrive app. Ending Gallery synchronization is not the same as deleting the stored files or shutting down OneDrive.

Samsung says users who want files available on their device can download them through the Gallery app's Download originals feature or the OneDrive app. Available settings vary by carrier and software version, and not all countries and carriers support the service.

The notice does not say users must move to Google Photos or another storage provider. Check where your original files are stored before relying on any replacement backup workflow.
